Massage of the prostate gland is carried out from the inside – through the rectum using a finger. There are cases when they try to carry out massage at home on their own (sympathetic relatives). However, effective massage is not just massaging this area, but the impact on different parts of the prostate in a strict sequence and in a certain direction. In this regard, competent and effective massage can only be performed by a specialist urologist.

Massaging the prostate gland should not be carried out in acute prostatitis (since the infection can be spread even more), in the presence of an abscess (abscess), tumors of an unknown nature in the rectum or prostate, urinary retention, diseases of the genitourinary system at the stage of exacerbation.

Prostate massage is recommended only for chronic prostatitis. It allows you to “disperse” stagnant secretions and cleanse the “excretory ducts”, and accordingly improve the condition of the prostate gland. However, in cases where chronic prostatitis is supported not only by secretion stagnation, but also by weak venous and lymphatic flow, manual massage will not fundamentally improve the situation, regardless of the frequency and diligence of the massage.

For this, an increase in general physical activity (walking, walking, swimming, etc.), as well as performing special gymnastics – physiotherapy exercises (exercise therapy), aimed at strengthening the pelvic muscles, improving the blood supply to the pelvic organs, reducing congestion, is suitable. The following exercises are simple and effective:

  • Arnold Kegel Exercises. Alternating tension and relaxation of the pelvic floor muscles at a dynamic pace. When performing the exercise, it is necessary to close the buttocks as much as possible and tighten the anus ring as high as possible, and then release. You need to alternate such contractions 10 times in 1 approach at least 3 times a day at a convenient time. In the absence of discomfort, the number of squeezes gradually increases. The muscles of the pelvic floor are kept in a tense state for about 5-7 seconds (the buttocks are brought together, the anus ring is tightened), then they relax.
  • “Bicycle”, when lying on your back simulates pedaling. At least 3 times a day.
  • “Scissors”, when lying on your back, straight legs are brought together and spread according to the principle of scissors for 5 minutes at least 3 times a day.
  • Classes on an elliptical trainer.

In order to achieve significant changes in the condition, which will allow you to no longer feel difficulty with urination and other discomfort, it is necessary to exercise frequently and regularly.

Vibrating

Vibroacoustic therapy (vibroacoustic therapy) for the treatment of prostatitisVibroacoustic therapy (Vibroacoustic therapy) is the transmission of sound microvibration (frequency range 30 – 20,000 Hz) into the human or animal body using a special compact medical device. Thus, vibroacoustic therapy is one of the most important elements of the complex treatment of prostatitis, especially in the presence of complications that impede movement. At the same time, the effect of such an effect is higher than that of only one exercise therapy, since vibroacoustic therapy is an external additional support for the body, and does not require its muscular expenditure.
